What is AWS and What can you do with it


 AWS is the largest cloud player on the market today. According to Forbes, AWS generated revenue of 2. 2.3 billion in the second quarter of 2019. If you are planning for an AWS career and looking for a resource to learn AWS, this Amazon Web Services tutorial is the right place for you!

Before we dive deeper into AWS, we need to be clear about some of the concepts of cloud computing. I will take a top down approach in teaching you ADWS in this tutorial, so let's start by listing the topics we are learning in this tutorial:

 I'm starting a series on AWS in which I will talk about AWS from the beginning. This is the first article in this series.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a secure platform for cloud services, helping computer power, database storage, content delivery and other functionality grow and grow on a professional scale.
Simply put, AWS allows you to do the following.
Running a web and application server in the cloud to host dynamic websites.
Store all your files securely on the cloud so you can access them from anywhere.
Use managed databases such as Mini MySQL, PostGrade MySQL, Oracle or MySQL Server to store information.
Provide fast static and dynamic files around the world using the Content Delivery Network (CDN).
Send bulk email to your customers.
Now that you know what you can do with AWS, take a look at the different AWS services.

Basic terms
Territory - A region is a geographical area. Each region consists of 2 (or more) available areas.


Availability Zone - This is just a data center.

Edge Location - These are the last points of Cloud Front CDN (Content Delivery Network).

EC2 (Flexible Compute Cloud) - These are the only virtual cloud machines that control you at the OS level. You can run whatever you want in them.

Light Cell - If you have no previous experience with AWS, this is for you. It automatically deploys and manages the required computer, storage, and networking capabilities to run your applications.

ECS (Flexible Container Service) - This is a highly scalable container service that allows you to run docker containers in the cloud.

EKS (Flexible Container Service for Kubernetes) - Allows you to use Kubernetes on AWS. This is a relatively new service.

Lambda - AWS serverless technology that allows you to work in the cloud. This is a huge cost savings because you only pay when you get the job done.

Batch - This allows you to easily and efficiently handle any scale batch computing workload on AWS using Amazon EC2 and EC2 spot fleet.

Flexible Benastlick - Allows highly scalable productive websites such as automated deployment and resource delivery.


S3 (Simple Storage Service) - AWS storage service in which we can store things like files, folders, photos, documents, songs, etc. cannot be used to install software, games or operating system. Is

EFS (Flexible File System) - Provides file storage for your EC2 instance. It uses the NFSv4 protocol and can be used simultaneously with thousands of instances.
Glacier - This is a very low cost archival service that can store files for years or decades.
Storage Gateway - This is a virtual machine that you install on your on-premises servers. Your data can be backed up to AWS, which provides more stability.
Data base


RDS (Related Database Service) - Allows you to run relative databases such as MySQL, Marie DB, PostGrace MySQL, Oracle or MySQL Server. These databases are managed entirely by AWS, such as anti-virus and patch installation.
DynamoDB - This is a highly scalable, high-performance NoSQL database. It provides a delay of one digit length on any scale.
Plastic Catch - This is a way to store data inside the cloud. Most queries can be used to load loads from your database by caching.
Neptune It was recently launched. It is a fast, reliable and scalable graph database service.
Red Shift - This is an AWS data warehouse solution that can be used to handle OLAP complex queries.


DMS (Database Migration Service) - can be used to move databases from the site to AWS. It also allows you to migrate from one type of database to another. For example, MySQL from Oracle.
SMS (Server Migration Service) - This allows you to easily and quickly transfer the site server to AWS.
Snowball is a briefcase-sized device that can be used to send terabytes of data in and out of AWS.


Networking and content delivery

VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) - This is just a data center in the cloud where you deploy all your resources. This will allow you to better isolate and secure your resources.
Cloud Front - This is AWS's Content Delivery Network (CDN) with edge locations that store resources.
Route 53 - This is AWS 'most available DNS (Domain Name System) service. You can register domain names through it.
Direct Contact - This allows you to connect your data center to an availability zone using a high-speed dedicated line.
